PRIMARY CASUAL DAY
As tomorrow is the last day of term, tradition dictates that the Primary students have a casual day! Yipee!

All we ask is that the students bring a minimum of 20c for the Sponsor Children and that they wear something appropriate to a school environment.

NAPLAN RESULTS DELAY
We have been notified that, due to a reporting error, the distribution of the NAPLAN results has been delayed. It seems likely that the results will not reach us now until the beginning of next term.

ACARA, the authority overseeing NAPLAN, apologises for any inconvenience.

SCC SCHOOL BAGS
If you would like to purchase an official SCC school bag with logo, please contact our Librarian Joanne Parnell or the Office.

Secondary = $60
Primary = $35

We also have little diary covers with our logo on them - $6, diary free! Inspection copy in Library.

UNIFORM NEWS
We have introduced new sports shorts across the whole school. They are available right now from the Uniform Shop for $30.

The shorts will be phased in over the next 18 months, becoming compulsory January '15.

Stocks of the plain blue taslon shorts are reduced to $10 for quick sale.

FORMAL TICKETS
Formal tickets will go on sale after the holidays at a cost of $45 each.

Please note: those students "graduating" on the night (ie those in Year 12) are also required to purchase a ticket.

WATOTO MISSION DINNER
A leaflet about the upcoming Watoto Mission Dinner was attached to the hardcopy newsletter. It is scheduled for Saturday 12 October, which is at the end of the first week of Term 4, so it's probably a good idea to start thinking about your attendance now.

A great way to celebrate a worthy cause - the rehabilitation of child soldiers and orphans in Uganda.

SCHOOL PHOTOS
School Photo Day is over for another year! We thank the students for their cooperation, as well as the student helpers who fetched classes and teachers on the day.

The photos will be forwarded to the school within the first couple of weeks of Term 4. We will keep you in the loop.

CURRUMBIN WRAP UP
Yrs 3 and 4 students enjoyed a wonderful day at Currumbin Wildlife Park this week. Thank you to all those parents who went along to help make this day such a success.

TRAVEL CONCESSION CARDS
Official Department of Transport Travel Concession Cards are available from our Office if your child needs one for the coming holidays (16yo and up).

Proof of Age Cards are also in stock for those students who need some official proof that they are the age they say they are (valid until the child's 16th birthday).

CANTEEN NEWS
As mentioned last newsletter, the Canteen will be under new management as of next term. We welcome Nicki Amber as Coordinator.

If there is anyone who would like to join Nicki in the Canteen as a volunteer, please contact the Office on 66 242711. Your involvement would be greatly appreciated!

We would all like to extend a heartfelt "thank you" to Colleen Schulze and her husband Michael for their dedicated service in the Canteen. We pray that they enjoy retirement!
